As a psychiatrist, Dr. Gonzalez has treated some of the sickest mentally ill members of society. Unfortunately, he has also noted that the current healthcare delivery models continue to provide care to the severely mentally ill in piecemeal fashion, leaving the sickest patients vulnerable when navigating through the complex healthcare system.
Throughout his career Dr. Gonzalez has prioritized the biological, psychological, and social needs of sickest mentally ill and he has developed and implemented multidisciplinary processes that have provided solutions for those needs.
